For our Blog topic we chose educational sweets, which are some traditional Japanese snacks popular among children. I think most of the Japanese readers has once seen these snacks before. But do you remember its taste? Or even how to make it. Let us introduce these awesome snacks for ones who saw these for their first time. We will not be explaining too much, writing mainly about HOW TO make, so if you’re curious about its taste, get one and try making one while reading this!

1.NERUNERUNERUNE

First, let us introduce the most famous Japanese educational sweets! It’s called “Nerunerunerune”, repeat after me! Can you say this word for your first try?

There are 3 types of powders included in this snack. Mainly 4 steps to take: First, open the No.1 package, and put the powder in the larger dent. Be careful! We’re going to use the smaller one latter, so keep it clean! Next, put one cup of water in the powder, from the plastic container attached to the main container. Next, put the No.2 powder in it. Finally, put the No.3 powder to the smaller dent, and TA DA, your done! It’s finally time to eat!

Ummm, one sad news to tell everyone. These “educational sweets” in most cases, doesn’t taste good…

2.GUMMY FISHING

 

So next, we will be introducing the “Gumi Tureta”, in English it may be translated to “Gummy Fishing”. Wow, this looks very exciting! One of my future hobby is going to be fishing, and I wasn’t expecting to be able to practice my fishing skills right here. Anyways, let’s go on to the receipt of this snack.

 

There are mainly 4 steps to take: First, put some water, and the juice powder in the round shaped dent. Next do the same for the clover shaped dent, but this time, put the sauce powder. Next, sink the tip of the straw in the round shaped dent, this straw is going to be you’re fishing rot! Pour the gummy powder over the straw, and slowly pull it up. Try this by yourself, its going to be a surprise!

3.KAORI LAB

Finally, we’re going to introduce the “Kaori Lab”. “Kaori” means “scent”, and in this snack, we’re able to make our own unique scent. Unfortunately, this is the last one we got today. I can hear some sobs from the audience, readers be honest, some of you are getting lonely, knowing that we’re getting close to the ending. I can see your lonely faces through the screen!

Ok, lets go to the HOW TO MAKE part. For this snack, we have mainly 5 steps to take: First, put some water in the tray. There are 4 similar sized ones, so put water in every tray, than put the ABCD powder in each one. Next, use the spuit to mix the 4 different smelling drink. Once you’ve made your own scent drink, we’re going on to the last stage. Put water in the big oval shaped dent, include the candy power, than by using the spuit, put the drinks you made in the water. Finally, add the juice powder, than your done!

We hope these traditions to go on, and keep in shape for a long time. Just one thing we have to say, they MUST do something with the taste. But overall, making these snacks were very exciting and interesting!
